Abjadi (“we”, “us”) helps you photograph, read, and document ancient inscriptions. This policy explains what information we process when you use the Abjadi website and mobile app.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Abjadi, we may process: photos and images you upload for inscription recognition; text and results generated from those images; documentation details you choose to save (such as title, location, script type, or notes); early-access or contact details you submit (name, email, organization, and role); and basic technical data needed to operate the service (such as device type, app version, and request logs).
How we use information
We use this information to run OCR and transliteration, show you results, store scans and documentation you create, improve recognition quality and reliability, respond to support requests, and manage early access. We do not sell your personal information.
Storage and processing
Images and related scan data may be stored securely with our cloud providers so the app can show history, regenerate signed image links, and keep your documentation. Processing may occur on our servers and trusted infrastructure providers.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us operate Abjadi (for example hosting, database, and storage), when required by law, or to protect the safety and integrity of the service. We do not share your scans publicly unless you choose to.
Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and maintain your saved scans and documentation, unless you ask us to delete it or a longer period is required by law.
Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your use of Abjadi by contacting us. If you uploaded an image by mistake, contact support and we will help remove it where feasible.
Children
Abjadi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.
